Bishop's Day at the District -- Bishop Peggy Johnson will be at St. Matthew's UMC on Walker Road in Wayne on Sunday, March 11 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm along with Peter Denofia (our conference Treasurer) and Jo Fielding (our conference pensions and benefits officer) and other conference lay leaders to present the state of the conference report and share plans for improving our financial picture. We will also worship together and celebrate the many wonderful outreaches and ministries of our churches.
Laity Retreat -- March 30-31 at Camp Innabah, 712 Pughtown Road, Spring City, PA 19475, "Finding, Nurturing and Empowering the Disciple Within Us," is the topic. See Pastor Cook for details.
Palm Sunday - April 1, Palm and Passion Sunday, 10:30 am Communion, giving of the palms by the children, stripping of the Altar and preparatio for Holy Week at the UMC of Bala Cynwyd.
Holy Thursday --April 5, 7:30 pm. We will worship at Ardmore UMC, 200 Argyle Road in Ardmore for a service of Communion and Tenebrae. Transportatio will be provided, please contact Paula Engard or Pastor Cook.
Good Friday - April 6 at 7:00 pm. We will worship at St. John's Episcopal, Bala Cynwyd (next door). Transportation will be provided, please contact Paula Engard or Pastor Cook.
Easter Sunday - April 8 at 10:30 am. Jesus Christ is risen! Special music and Easter Egg Hunt for children.
Nursery Workers Needed: If you would like to volunteer to help in a ministry with children please see Pastor Cook. Our United Methodist Discipline takes very seriously our nurture of children. there is training available and also some forms which need to be filled out in order to insure the safety of the children in our midst. Christ has told us that the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a child. May our church be a place full of children and those who love them.
